We have selected 10 players who left the biggest impression on us after the first tournament. It is certain that they were not the best players in the tournament, but they were players who stood out in their teams, and who, by changing the tempo, influenced the positive aspects of the game.
This format of the competition is ideal for young players who can show and offer a lot. Of course rugby 15 would be more useful and purposeful than rugby 10, but this is definitely an opportunity for youngsters not to be missed. That’s why we are a little sad because we would enjoy watching, for example, Andrija Janjić, Aleksa Jovanović, Veljko Mitić and Matija Mladenović from Kruševac. We would also like to see Momčilo Kralj, Dragan Kokanović, the Pumpalović brothers from Zvezda, Jovan Radovanović, Dalibor Spasić, Aca Avdiović from Borac. And not to mention Boris Milojković, Igor Švraka and the Stojiljković brothers. And let’s not talk about the Voštić brothers, Marko Košpić, Kuzmanović, Vasić, the Krkljuš brothers or the long forgotten but never regretted Nemanja Milenković. Well, let’s get out of our fantasy and return to the real world of rugby 10.
For those who are interested in the results, the table and the list of scorers, they can view it on a special page on our website that follows the tournaments of ten.
10 players:
We have to mention that we didn’t rank the players, we randomly placed them.
Nebojša Stošić
Position: Lock
YOB: 2004.
Club: RK Rad
Nebojša returned to rugby last spring after several seasons. In this tournament, he was excellent, both in the game with and without the ball. He was very penetrating in attack. He positioned himself perfectly and thus opened up space both for himself and his teammates. Honestly, we hope that he will get into a good rugby rhythm and that he will train well in the coming period.
Mateja Krčedinac
Hooker
YOB: 2007.
Club: RK Dinamo 1954

Due to his age, Mateja still cannot play in his position in the first line due to his age, but he delighted us. It seems that excellent rugby is played in the younger categories, so Matej was absolutely up to the task, especially in contact. He actively participated in open play, distributed offloads, was good in the escort, moved a lot and positioned himself correctly.
Igor Gajić
Flyhalf
YOB: 2006.
Club: RK Rad
Igor made his debut in the senior competition last spring. He also made his debut for the Serbian national team in rugby 7. He plays in a position that is extremely lacking in Serbia. Although he is very young, he has taken responsibility and management of the Rada game. And he does it in a great way, he has a great overview of the game, an intelligent player who has a feel for the game. He has an excellent and controlled shot, he performed a fantastic action when he assisted a teammate with a shot that scored one of the most beautiful essays in Serbia this year. The future of Serbian rugby.
Jorgos Kostopulos
Position: Scrumhalf
YOB: 2007.
Club RK Kruševac
Jorgos played an excellent tournament. He was on the ball non-stop and dictated the pace of Kruševac. At the end, he crowned the great game with an essay. He is the prototype of a modern demi who, in addition to being a good playmaker, can be extremely dangerous both in penetrations and in defense. He passes the ball accurately and quickly from the ruck, which gives his teammates a big advantage in the game.
Alen Ćosović
Position: Flanker
YOB: 1988.
Club: RK Rad

Alen has been one of the most dominant players in Serbia for a long time. He left a positive impression on us at the tournament as well. He was very strong in contact and quick in penetration. A very hard player to beat. If he gets in the shape he knows how to be, it will be a huge benefit for the Serbian national team.
Stefan Dramićanin
Position: Flanker
YOB: 2002.
Club: RK Dinamo 1954
The rugby public in Serbia has forgotten how penetrating Stefan can be offensively and how dangerous he can be in “kresh bol” attacks. Although he is a player who plays in the third line, he is fast and agile enough to cover both central positions, which he showed in the tournament. A sure ball carrier who is very good in the ruck, very quick. A player capable of playing at a very high tempo. It would be a real shame if he misses another one in a series of national selection meetings.
Stefan Ivković
Position: Lock, flanker
YOB: 1991.
Club RK Kruševac

In our opinion, Stefan is one of the five best players in Serbia. He showed it countless times. If we were the selector or manager of the national team, we would sit down with him for a drink once a week and tell him nothing but nice things for 15 minutes. He is a player who can turn the tide and the very tempo of the game. Very physically strong, fast and intelligent player. If they had their team, they would hold it like a little water in the palm of their hand.
Dušan Gavrilović
Position: Wing
YOB: 2001.
Club: RK Dinamo 1954
He came out of a very serious injury. The recovery was good and now it seems very fast, penetrating and safe on the field. He left a very positive impression on us, he had several strong breakthroughs, where he even scored two essays in the tournament. A very difficult player for the opposing defense because he is very fast, physically strong and quite stable. We can’t wait to see his next release.
Mirko Ranković
Position: Lock, flanker
YOB: 1994.
Club: RK Rad
Mirko is slowly but surely returning to his former rugby rhythm because before his injury he was one of the most dominant players in domestic rugby. At the tournament, he was great, played in the outfield, and was a very penetrating player. Extremely physically fit and fast. He positions himself well and can play at a very fast pace.
Stefan Milevski
Position: Flanker
YOB: 2002.
Club: RK Dinamo 1954
The third Stefan on our list of ten players. Defensively, by far the best individual in the tournament. Great tackler, fantastic on the break down and stealing the ball from the ruck. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen someone punish the opposing support as much as he does. We would like to mention that he played in the position of a ticket holder in the tournament and did quite well. He was also very good at throwing the ball into the outfield. He looks like a player who can answer any challenge. He is very active in attack, especially in support. For us, representative caliber.
