Youngsters takeover the game
The production of U18 juniors in seniors is not too big, but we are especially encouraged by the fact that young people are slowly but surely having higher and higher roles in their teams. The past two seasons we had a very interesting series of rugby 7 tournaments in the U18 junior competition. It is these players who are now showing their quality in senior rugby.
In Dinamo from Pancevo, the main bearers of the game are the boys who are the bearers of the game in the junior competition as well. Kuzmanović, Voštić, Pal and others showed extremely well in the senior competition. In the first tournament, they defeated Kruševac and finally managed to beat Partizan 12-5, only to be stopped by Rad in the finals.. The Builders were confident in the tournament, the combination of youth and experience absolutely gave results. The team led by Stošić, Ristić, Ćosović, who, along with the young Pećanc, Stošić, Stojanović and others, looks very good.
Krusevac was especially interesting for us at the tournament, where the main ringleaders are players from the junior team. Jovanovic, Lazic and Krsmanovic took over the baton and showed that they can handle the best seniors in the country. BRK Crvena Zvezda has huge potential in its ranks, Momcilo Kralj is slowly but surely growing into an excellent player on the line. There are Kokanović, Pumpalović and Lučić who played a big role in the game for the red and whites.
Partizan and Vojvodina approached stability in the game. Experienced teams that eventually took third and fourth place. Teams that could easily have qualified for the finals. Now we would like to score. We have the opportunity to see players coming to senior rugby from the younger categories, where they spent about 7-8 seasons. They played uncertain and strong matches non-stop, trained and prepared for the finals. All players are educated in the junior category system. They have several camps Kataraš, Academy camps, as well as representative gatherings. These are large investments and a lot of work invested in their development. Investing in younger categories is not a cost but an investment in the future. Anyone who says that our young players are not good, we can freely say that he is a great connoisseur of Serbian rugby as well as rugby in general.

The most dominant junior in rugby 7. He shows his quality in the senior level competition as well. He doesn’t seem to be aware of his speed and quality in a 1 on 1 game yet. When he gets the ball in space in a full run, then he is unstoppable. In defense and attack he plays in the system, a very disciplined player. In contact, it always offers the option for offload, which is the quality of modern players at the highest level. According to the constitution and physics, he is an ideal weekly.
Nemanja Stošić

A very young player who is already at a high level. Creator of the game in attack, extended arm of the coach on the field. A very dangerous breakthrough player, who often pulls the defense on himself to leave more space for teammates. He is very effective in defending and forcing the opponent’s mistake. Almost everyone worked on the tournament, definitely the leader of this generation of Brkovci.
Aleksandar Andrić

When you realize that this player is only 24 years old, you will be surprised. We have the impression that he has always played rugby. He reads the game incredibly well, he can accurately anticipate the opponent’s game and make the best possible decision accordingly. He is deadly in open play. He especially stands out when he is in a great position for off-road or fast attack aftzer ruck. Counterattack high efficency. The player has a deadly tactical shot where he is able to create a great advantage for his team.
Miladin Živanov

Position: Flyhalf, center
Club: RK Rad
Experienced player. He did everything in the field at the tournament. He was dominant in defense. They would say that he had the most balls won, no missed shots, which we could saw. General leadership of the defense, Rad had 15 points in three games. Three tries without a successful conversion. Which only proves that the opponent’s essays were scored in places where it is harder to turn a shot. In the attack, he was excellent in creating surplus situations and realizing them, where he provided his teammates with easy points.
